Clinical IVF Procedure Manual and Training Sign-Off — Free, Expert-reviewed Templates
At IVF Store, we are always looking for ways to support the labs and embryologists we work with, not only through the products we provide, but also through practical knowledge and educational resources.
Today, we are pleased to share two new educational resources, developed with guidance from our Scientific Advisory Board and offered free to our customers.
IVF Laboratory Procedure Manual
A comprehensive 48-section educational template covering embryology, andrology, embryo culture, cryopreservation, ICSI, quality control, specimen traceability, and laboratory best practices.
This resource is designed as a framework that labs can adapt when developing or reviewing their own controlled operational manuals. It is aligned with ASRM, ESHRE, and ALPHA guidance, and references CLIA, CAP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 1271.
Clinical IVF Training and Sign-Off
A structured training and competency sign-off resource covering the same core clinical IVF procedures. This document is designed to help labs support staff training, document competency, and maintain a clear, consistent approach to training records.
How Can You Use Them
• New labs use them as a starting point when establishing their own SOPs and training manuals.
• New and developing embryologists use them to gain a deeper understanding of clinical IVF procedures and structured training protocols.
• Trainers and lab supervisors use them to formalise their in-house training programs, with a consistent structure for competency development and sign-off.
• Established labs can use them to run a gap analysis of their current documentation, including with AI tools, to identify where procedures, training records, or supporting documentation could be strengthened.
These are educational documents intended to inform. They aren't a substitute for your own validated procedures, but we hope they'll be a genuinely useful reference as you build, train and review. Both were created with input from our Scientific Advisory Board, a group of internationally recognized leaders in embryology, andrology and reproductive medicine.
We'd love to hear how you put them to use.
