ZyMōt™ Multi 850µl
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
In 5+ decades of reproductive medicine, technological innovations have changed the way patients achieve their dreams. Despite this progress, sperm preparation has not evolved: labs still centrifuge sperm. Until now.
The ZyMōt Multi (850µL) Sperm Separation Device prepares motile sperm from semen for use in intrauterine insemination (IUI) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) procedures. The device accepts 850µL of sample input and yields 500µL output volume for downstream use.
ZyMōt devices separate sperm based on motility, without the need for any centrifugation. Click here to learn more about how ZyMōt devices work.
With about 5 minutes of total hands-on time per sample, every ZyMōt processed specimen represents a significant time savings over centrifugation-based methods. Simple to adopt and easy to use, ZyMōt devices improve training and standardization, helping your practice increase its productivity. No special media is required. Fewer handling steps (a shorter chain of custody) translates into less risk for your lab, and more confidence for your patients. Learn more about how ZyMōt Sperm Separation Devices improve workflow and productivity.
The ZyMōt Multi (850µL) device can be used with the following sample types:
- “Normal”
- Low count
- Low motility (Note: Some motility is required)
- Viscous
- Low volume
- A combination of the above properties
- Frozen samples

Whether for ICSI or IUI use, there is no need for any centrifugation of the sample, either before or after device usage. Processing sperm with ZyMōt devices gives you more confidence and gives your patients more peace of mind.

PRODUCT DETAILS
ZyMōt devices separate sperm based on motility.
The ZyMōt Multi (850μL) Sperm Separation Device has an inlet port, an outlet port and a membrane filter. 850uL of raw semen is injected into the inlet port. The sample travels into the lower portion of the device, underneath a membrane that has 8 micron pores. Fertilization media is placed on top of the membrane. During incubation, the healthiest, most progressively motile sperm migrate through the pores into the fresh media above. They leave behind the less motile, morphologically abnormal sperm. After incubation, what is collected from above the membrane are the healthiest, most genomically competent sperm. ZyMōt separates the champions.

CLINICAL PERFORMANCE
ZyMōt enriches a sample for the healthiest sperm: Lower DNA fragmentation and oxidative stress

“Overall, the quality of the sperm obtained post-processing was improved by the use of the [ZyMōt] separation device” – Broussard, 2019

ZyMōt enriches a sample for the healthiest sperm: Progressively motile, morphologically normal
Outcomes matter: ZyMōt improved sperm health and ICSI pregnancies
A 2019 publication from Weill-Cornell Medicine:
- A “remarkable reduction” of DNA fragmentation.
- Sperm with “higher genomic competence”, improved motility and morphology.
- Improved euploid rate and the ability to establish healthy pregnancies.

ZyMōt devices aren’t just advancing patient care for ICSI procedures. Historically, IUI success rates have been low, and patients with male-factor issues have additional challenges that impede success. ZyMōt devices have been shown to improve the success rates for IUI procedures.
Outcomes matter: Improved pregnancy rates in a published study of 265 IUI patients
